I hope to get invited, I tested Vista & hope to give feedback on 7. I'm having the same issue with all of my browsers.

Something to do with Passport? I've been a Connect member for years -- since it's launch. I wonder if that has anything to do with it?

Cache cleared, adapter repaired (flushes DNS cache), reboot, multiple browsers tried. Even used WebBug to look at low level HTTP traffic. Still 301 redirects to itself... The server doesn't like me

I watched the raw HTTP traffic. That means I have a TCP connection. I saw a 301 response come back from the connect.microsoft.com host. It redirected to a Passport server which in turn redirected back to connect... Ad infinatum.

Trying Firefox Liveheaders extension now but that requires FF 3.0.5 as it's not compatible with 3.1b2...

    pinging is different...
    ping the server...
    it will not redirect...
if not try the ip address....
if it redirects but you can still surf to other sites
    then

    check your hosts file

other than that it might be an ISP issue....
hmmm nothing else i can think of....

I'd post the raw HTTP traffic here but it's rather verbose. Let's suffice to say that it's not having any trouble with address resolution nor TCP connection. It's getting to the page and the site is returning a 302 Found HTTP response with a location header causing the browser to redirect to the new location. It does that over and over adding bits to the query string each time. Something's broken with my account on the server side...

    1) You can force install most anything into Fx 3.1bx using Nightly Tester Tools.

    2) Post it using the codebox tags so it will have it's own scroll bars....
