Multiple graphics cards would generally either be Nvidia SLI (Scalable Link Interface - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) or ATI CrossFire (AMD CrossFire - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia). Generally speaking, it's to give your PC a performance boost in the graphics-based department.

The basic idea is that the graphics processing is shared between multiple cards... Mostly for gaming rigs and high-end server setups (they sometimes use GPU power to add to the processing power of the server CPU). A good example in games is the ability to have alternate frames rendered by alternating GPUs; so frames 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, ect by GPU 1 and frames 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, etc by GPU 2.
Ok thanks for clearing that up, I kinda thought that was the way of it. Cheers!

Nice build robbymcnob, You got lots of value for the money. Mine cost me $300 (Can) per part for some of the parts. Glad to hear you have had good dealings with ebay after reading about so so many people being scammed on this forum (Re: Windows 7 technet keys).

Very nice @DrToxic!

I want to raise the height of my monitors, they are too low for my taste..

As you can see, the top of my chair is even higher than the top of the monitors..

PS. I love your signature!! I'm almost done playing through Portal 2, just a couple of hours left! Its a fantastic game!

That does look too low.
Earlier in this (or the other SUYR) thread, there was a topic going on about the LCD monitor stands.
I think one of those 3x1 ones would do you justice.

Amazon has some great ones, but none of them are big enough to support 22" monitors.. None of the affordable ones atleast.

My 'rig' a few pages back would appear to have passed away: https://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-d...even-boot.html
Ironically, it wasn't the hard drive that did it (see my system specs info), the rest of the computer beat it to it :'(
