Thank's for the advice, mate. :) They do look awesome in black, probably will buy some cables in that colour.
And damn, that murderbox site has some amazing stuff on there. B-)

The good news about cable management is that a lot can be done without spending any money. It's really just a matter of taking time and trying to hide or bundle the cables together the best that you can. Sometimes you cannot get it perfect without buying an extension cable...but even when you have a couple of wires out of place, as long as the rest is tidy, it doesn't seem so bad.
And we have all worked with non-modular power supplies, so we know how it is. I went with my first modular supply on my home desktop about 2 years ago, but have done numerous wiring jobs for friends since who haven't spent the extra for the modular. For my own personal happiness, a modular power supply is now a requirement for any build I pay for.
I know what you mean. I've tried yesterday experimenting with cable ties that came with the case, but they only marginally made things neater ^^; I'll just need to find some time and patience and I should (hopefully) make the cabling kick-ass.
And yeah, I tried looking for a modular power supply at first, but in the end - that HCG was the best bang-for-buck, considering it's powerfull +12v rail for a better GPU, etc. I gladly chose performance over asthetics (modular/non-modular) although now that I've everything ordered and settled, I gotta do what I can with the non-modular cabling. ^^;
Anyway, hope the systems case and looks are up to scratch. :)
A good quality PSU trumps cable neatness any day but if you can pop for the modular it's worth every extra dollar!
Well, if you run a case without side windows and don't have a heat/airflow problem...neat cables don't really amount to much.
Even though I don't use cases with side windows....and I don't have a heat problem...I love my boxes to be clean and tidy inside.
Agree that higher quality power supplies are vitally important.

For those of you thinking my pictures are the worst due to the blur in the pictures, I don't have a professional-status camera, nor do I have the most steadiest hold neither.
The motherboard name of the new one is in my system specs, got the new rig about 2-3 weeks ago and I'm lovin' it.

Seems that it is deactivated on Newegg.
PwnFrnzy,
Nice upgrade in performance. Isn't building the system up a rush when you first start it and it lights up without any smoke....! Great job and now just work on propping your hand on something to stead your shots.....lol
