My first rule of overclocking is "Don't do it if you can't afford to replace what you break."
If you wish to try it, just do your research & start slow.
And sometimes, speed isn't everything.
For example:
I could possibly be wrong here, but Im willing to bet if you just:
Set the DRAM FSB strap to 333/800 (So that the CPU is running stock and RAM at 800Mhz)
Then try to tighten the RAM timings to hopefuly to 4-4-4-12 or 4-4-4-15 youd get better memory performance over 1066Mhz and 5-7-7-24.
(may need to set DRAM Voltage to the higher end of reccomended though)
To get an idea of current memory bandwidth, just open a cmd prompt as admin and type:
winsatmem
Give it a sec, and it will give an estimate.
