Dave, there is something wrong with the link. I am getting a Google welcome screen. But maybe it is because I am outside the US.

Sorry that would help wouldn't it lol whoops

Pretty much I do the following:

    - Play Battlefield Bad Company 2
    - Listen to music
    - Pictures (basic editing)
    - Surf the forums
    - Facebook
    - Instant Messaging

    Nothing major.. Mostly basic stuff.

    Current Specs:

    Intel Core 2 Duo E6300
eVGA 750i FTW mobo (it is having issues.. none of the USB ports work)
    Corsair 4GB RAM
    Western Digital 250GB Harddrive
    nVidia 9800GTX+ video card

Second most important question, what's the budget?

If you want a Quad Core, seems to be the logical step from the Core 2 Duo, then you have to decide if you want to buy some new DDR3 RAM.

The i5-750 is very good, with a Gigabyte or Asus board, this will require DDR3 RAM.

For a little higher price for the processor, Core 2 Quad Q9505 and you can use your DDR2 RAM.

If you want to see a definite performance increase and save a little money, keep your E6300, get a new Gigabyte or Asus MOBO and buy a SSD, The Intel X25-V 40GB is $115 at Newegg, the OCZ Vertex and Agility series are good as well.

All depends on what our looking for.

    Dave,

    Thanks for the info..

Budget.. Haven't really thought about a budget. Definitely not expensive since I don't use it for much besides Bad Company 2, forums, chatting.

The main thing is the mobo since the USB ports on the eVGA 750i FTW I currently have are not working.. I figured since I was upgrading the motherboard I might as well think about a processor too (nothing high-end but better than what I have now E6300).

I probably won't upgrade the RAM right now since I didn't get it too long ago. (even though it's out-dated lol )
