    radeon hd 4550 overclock

    hi i have radeon hd 4550 core clock:650MHz - memory clock : 800 MHz
i have an issue with the game splinter cell conviction ... it gets low FPS and freezes every 5/10 minutes , they told me it was a video card problem ... so will overclocking it solve the problem and will games be better at all
and what are the max safe overclocks for the card that wont cause its burning soon?
    thanks all

    No.

You could potentially raise a few FPS. But it will not be the magic bullet you are hoping for.

    Keep it below 90c

And every card has a 'wall' before it starts to artifact, lose performance etc.

Some have higher headroom than others.

For stock voltages, you can use ATI overdrive to overclock and kombustor (part of MSI afterburner) to test your overclock.

Or you could just use AB to overclock.

    MSI Afterburner

Not all cards have adjustable voltage and the only way around that is to flash the BIOS, but tbh with that card - it would not be worth the effort. Just aim for the highest stable OC you can @ stock voltages.
