@James : Well, you know what? I'll be taking that UD3R... the other is too much of a pain to find good RAM for it.

I think that is a good decision. I just looked for compatible RAM for the other board and couldn't find any info anywhere, that's not a good sign.

The UD3R is a better choice, you can get better RAM from the QVI, and it has more features that you may want in a year or two.

Looks good. It was smart to plan ahead and verify all your components. Makes the process a lot less problematic when you know your components will play nicely together.

Newegg.ca - OCZ Vertex 2 OCZSSD3-2VTX90G 3.5" 90GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Just wondering why you were going with your SSD choice.
The Vertex2 is the newer version I beleive and same price. Plus a $30 rebate.
It was the closest SATA-2 in testing to the Crucial's RealSSD C300 SATA-6 SSD.
No biggy but thought I'd mention if you had overlooked this one.

Great choices, looks like a excellent build.

I agree with Hoppy, the Vertex 2 had a little bit better Input/Output rates, and for the same price it is definitely a better choice.

I really like that case. I wish it was more like $50 but oh well, lian li is quality. You get what you pay for.

What is the need for the sound card?

Sorry for the late answer.

@DirtyElf : I'm an audiophile. I also store s**tl**d of FLAC files. Need something that make them sound like they should

At the others, Vertex 2... I'll think about it because at this point, I'll be pretty satisfied.
