    Upgrade My CPU???

I currently have a Pentium 4 3.0 Ghz CPU with 4 GB of RAM. I don't play games, just surf the net mostly. If I upgraded to a Intel Core 2 Duo 2.66Ghz, could I really tell any difference in the loading of pages? Thanks,

probably not - i would say that the speed of your internet connection is the most important variable here.

modern browsers (especially chrome) render so quickly it's negligible, and the cpu is hardly troubled.

you would notice improvements elsewhere of course, but not whilst browsing - except maybe for full-screen hd youtube for example.
