... Now all I can do is cross my fingers and hope they work because I don't have $180 dollars to spend buying 3 of the cheapest 2GB modules that the biostar website list as compatible with the mobo -frowns-
Since this board runs in dual channel and has 4 slots, you will need either 2 or 4 sticks of RAM.

One (or all) of the RAM sets at the link below may be compatible. I would verify before buying:

    Amazon.com: twin2x4096-6400c4dhx

I believe my current board also runs in duel channel and I have never had issues with 3 sticks rather then the complete four

dual channel is a mode, not a requirement

This is a link to the list of compatible ram modules... Very few 2GB options TBH

    BIOSTAR :: A770E :: Memory Support
All that really is a list of sticks that they've tested with the motherboard and certified as compatible. Other RAM usually works just fine; I wouldn't worry about it.

Especially with biostar. I think they are a little understaffed or lazy.

Nor will you have 'issues', but running in dual channel squeezes the most out of your RAM (2 channels of bandwidth rather than just one). Under the right circumstances, that gain can be quite useful. Plus, if you end up having to buy other RAM, you would have 8GB as opposed to 6GB.

The 'right circumstances' would include any program that handles large amounts of data (such as Photoshop and others). Intensive multi-tasking can also benefit.

The case arrived from newegg the other day... but upon inspection I realized that the box within the case didn't include the motherboard standoffs, instead I was accidentally given two of the same package of SSD-HDD adapter tray screws... Where would I even buy those things and how do I know which size is the correct size ???

There is really no reason that an NZXT case should not have come with screws. Have you looked for a small baggie taped somewhere inside the case?

If it didn't come with them, let newegg know, and they will probably send you out some. In the case that they refuse (which I doubt, I bought a GPU two weeks ago, and the price dropped $20 over the weekend, they sent me a $20 credit when I asked), you can get screws the cheapest on Amazon.com:

Newegg.com - StarTech SCREWNUTM Jackscrew Standoffs

Amazon.com: StarTech STANDOFF632 632 Brass Standoffs (15 Pack): Electronics: Reviews, Prices & more

    Case in point, $10 less

Here is a little box of stuff you might need (screws and whatnot)

Amazon.com: Link Depot Accessory Computer Screws Kit 68Pcs: Electronics: Reviews, Prices & more

    and another:

Amazon.com: Ultra Products ULT-31338 All Purpose Assorted PC Screws: Electronics: Reviews, Prices & more

I thought it would be there too but I searched that case up and down like three times already... No stand offs to be found
