I really like Sharkoon Silent Eagle fans. They are very quiet yet shift a lot of air with golfball finish blades:)

Definitely invest in "quiet" fans. I was able to reduce a lot of noise by using rubber washers where ever I could. But the biggest noise maker was my PS fan. I have a friend that actually used spray foam insulation on the cover of his case in an attempt to quieten his computers....I wasn't surprised when his system overheated and he fried my MB...so I would n't recommend going that route :-P
