There is No Such Thing as a Stupid Question....

Well you haven't heard this one yet. == Some fans are intake and some outtake. Is it just a matter of turning the frame around to make it blow the other way? If so, how do you know which is which without trying it?

Place a piece of tissue paper against the fan, and see it it is blown away, or sucked onto the fan????

Most fans also have an arrow etched into the plastic housing around the fan blades showing which way the air blows.

Also if the blades are curved, the air suckks in from the side that is curved outwards and blows away from the concave side of the blades...

Yep. Simple as flipping it around.

Another way to tell which way it will be blowing:

The open side of the fan is intake.

The side that has the support crossbars will be the exhaust side.

If you look at the edge of the fan, you will see 2 arrows. These indicate the direction of rotation and the direction of airflow. Generally speaking, unless indicated otherwise, the airflow is towards the label.

The air flows in the same direction as the label.
