    Dual CPU Fan?

I purchased a Xigmatek Gaia SD 1283 CPU cooler: Newegg.com - XIGMATEK Gaia SD1283 120mm Long Life Bearing CPU Cooler bracket included I7 i5 775 1155 AMD and dual fan push pull compatible. It says you can run dual fans with it. I am also considering this CPU (AMD Athlon II X4 640 Propus) which comes with a fan and heat sink: Newegg.com - AMD Athlon II X4 640 Propus 3.0GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache Socket AM3 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor ADX640WFGMBOX

Can I use the fan that comes with the CPU as my 2nd fan to run dual fans?

    Thanks for any responses. :)

no, you want to run another 120mm fan. the fan the comes with the AMD proc is smaller.

For almost 50 cents cheaper you can get a corsair

Not sure if it matters to you but CFM< and RPM are higher on the corsair even though it is a little louder and I'm not sure if you can add another fan to it.

I know Newegg combos corsair CPU fans more often so keep an eye out.

I found this combo you might like its 10 bucks cheaper then what you picked out.

I know its not the 940 but it’s the 935

Wow, CrazyEye that is really you did so much research for me. I hate to say it, but I already bought the CPU fan I mentioned. I was wondering if the one that comes with the CPU would work. I REALLY appreciate your help though.

That 2nd combo's pretty nice. I'm also leaning towards the same CPU you're running. Has it been good for you?

Just a little tip on Newegg when you figure the price add shipping as well. When I bought my rig for example the mouse I picked was an iHome laser mouse one was red another orange I liked the red one but the orange was a few bucks cheaper then I looked at shipping the red was free shipping but the orange had like 10 dollar shipping so in the long run the same mouse in red was cheaper.

I found the same problem for CD/DVD drives keep a close eye on it I bought 1500 in parts and didn’t pay but 20 bucks for shipping. If I had my way I could of picked all parts that had free shipping.

So in short some higher end parts have a higher price tag while lower end parts have a lower price tag but higher shipping rates which will end up costing more than the better higher end part so be aware of that.
