AMD PhenomII X2 idles at ~97%

I have an AMD PhenomII X2 550 overclocked to 3.4GHz. In order to do this, I just increased the HT from 200 to 220. But here recently, I've been noticing that it idles at 90%. This is a huge problem because I experience CPU lag during most, if not all of my games. I have a nVidia GT 220, and I have never had any FPS issues (Crysis @ 30FPS max settings). What can I do to fix this? I have 8GB of ram...

EDIT: Oh, and none of my processes are very CPU heavy.

It should be fairly easy to just open the task manager click the processes tab and figure out which process is using all the cpu time. ...it's going somewhere. From there things would get much more specific. It is possible the overclock has lead to instability with a single process. Though I would want to know which one it is before assigning blame.

I think I would reverse the OC and see if the CPU goes back to normal

This, and stop trying to run games at max settings with that card. I find it very hard to believe that you are getting 30 FPS in Crysis with that card,
