I know I said i would get this and start build this week but had to wait for contractor to pay me a draw on a masonry job. Anyway - do you guys feel i should go extra mile and get this - PowerColor AX6850 1GBD5-DH Radeon HD 6850 THIS ONE
    it got four stars

in lieu of the XFX HD-583X-ZAFV Radeon HD 5830 1GB 256-bit which came with the box for extra 30 us off - this other one

TOO late just called neweeg and got the 6850
Order is gone as of tonight - I pray you men and women "My Friends in arms" will help me in my time of dying sort of speak as this is my 1st build and an expensive one at that. But WTF may as well go for it. LOL
Just worried about making massive trips to local rip off store for extras sata cables and such. and a lot nervous

My 2003 dell gets a 2.3 on the SEVEN scale hope this is lot better I own 8 of those dells when started company up in 2003 and now all are obsolete. Never again. Only Server and 2 other originals out of the 7 total are still working. ha ha ha jokes on me.,
    not for long!!

Now you've got me envying your build all over again.

A Radeon HD 6850 is definitely a step up from an HD 5830. Either is a good step above what I have. If you're using an 8-year old Dell, you will think you have discovered computers all over again.

Buying the little things locally often does stink. The good news is that new motherboards usually come with far more SATA cables than you can possibly use. After building 3 PCs over the past 8 years, I have accumulated a vast store of extra bits, including SATA cables. Haven't had to buy one for years.

    t41,
You're going to have the time of your life and don't for a minute think your going to get it all just so the first try. I will place money on you being back inside that case many times after you build it the first time tweaking things here and there. I like to graph out all the cables and connectors to the PSU and mobo. Likely you will have enough cables and such but this is where the version 1.1/1.2/1.3 come in. You find out that with an extension the 12volt cable can route behind the mobo......much cleaner, if I order the matching NZXT cables....you know those cool ones with the individual wires, man how cool will my wire management look then. Wait if I add a cold cathode light kit then this will show up and that won't. You're entering into the fun zone and don't forget it! Fans in every hole.....sounds kinky.....but cool rules and then it's all done and you just can't wait to build the next one.....it's like Charlie Sheen and 8 Balls and almost as expensive ! lol Enjoy and remember slow and steady wins the race !

Sorry guys had to buy a new turbo for my diesel 1350.00 US and guy who originally was gonna sell me pc from ebay THIS THREAD told me that eyes can only see 65 FPS so that the card in my build is useless unless i am a gamer.
gets all confusing but WTF - I want a pc to read and convert my movies and music quickly. Am going into new business with guy converting etc.

Other dude selling stuff is from here - HERE nice enough but trying to make quick buck off of me. - F the blue screen he says i may get - I trust you people and respect your help. Don't think be a problem. If i can change a turbocharger in my truck than i can build this. LOL hope so also looks like he downgraded shit. F him he rides a rice burner not a HOG anyway

Always a bug in the way - hoping to have done by now as i am getting audited by insurance agent in two weeks. hope can have completed by then.

Feel like an "Idiot Abroad" great show ha ha ha

Maybe I'm slow, but...I thought you said above you ordered all your parts and were just looking for time to put 'em together?

Feel your pain on the vehicle repair. I had to put a new intake manifold, plus a few other parts, in my land yacht last month. About $1200. That hurt...but it was still less painful than buying a replacement car.

Understandable. Most PCs don't drive for crap, and have very little cargo capacity.
