I would strongly suggest, do not overclock a notebook.
Desktops are ok, as you can increase cooling capacity in a variety of ways, like air, water or refrigeration.
Notebooks don't have the same luxury, and fair change it will start oveheating, followed by possible shut downs.

There are two BIG problems.
#1. There will be no jumpers or BIOS settings for overclocking the CPU. (SOMETIMES DIFFER,DEPENDS OM LAPTOP)
#2. Laptops have marginal cooling and usually have CPU speed throttling to
stay within temperature limits. BUT SOME PROGRAMS CAN OVERCLOCK YOUR CPU FROM THE DESKTOP,BUT THEY DIFFER FOR EACH MOTHERBOARD,SO CHECK YOU MOTHERBOARD SUPPLIER
If you realy want to overclock you can get nice laptop coolers from coolermaster and antec ext.But they won't work NEARLY so good as a normal desktop pc with fans,i agree with spinifex you realy should not overclock a laptop, BUT if you want to you can use this ClockGen (AT OWN RISK), its allot easier overclocking a gpu in a laptop, but again the heat issue, power usage(shorter battery life) warranty ect.
SO DO NOT OVERCLOCK YOUR LAPTOP!!!
