Noise is a concern hence the push pull configuration with the stock fans on a controller to speed reduce them down as they only have to pull a little air while the Noctua's do all the work quietly pushing the air through the radiator. That's the goal. I'm looking to see if I can push my 3.4 Phenom past 4.2 stable if possible......it may not be. I'll post temps before and after but your mileage may vary as they say.

^ Well good luck. I don't think you will need the pullers to get your overclock. I think the Noctua's pushing with the H100 will be enough. At most, those other 2 fans drop you 2 more degrees. Hopefully you aren't going to be running on such a fine line that those 2 degrees make it or break it. If that's the case, I would likely drop the OC a bit rather than risk it.

pparks1, points well taken, I've got the hardware and fans but now that I must remove the mobo to install the original plates I'm likely going to address some other issues which will have me ordering more stuff possibly.

Well it took awhile for me to find the time to install my now old...lol H100 cooler. It turned out my fears of having to pull out the mobo completely because the access hole in the back of my Element V didn't line up to the MSI mobo was for not. It turned out that by taking out some of the mobo screws allowed me to push the mobo (not highly advised) and flex it to allow me to remove the H50's base and install the stock MSI AMD base and retention plate (H50 and the H100 not interchangeable ). So with out further a due I'm cooler by 2 degrees celsius while pushing 4.1Mhz vesus 4.0 before right out of the chute ! F'g fantastic product ! I'm 30.2 c ambient currently with the cpu at 40c.

Are your temps at idle or 100% load?

LBB,
Idle currently as I haven't had a chance to stress the system yet as I just installed it minutes ago. It's just so much quieter with taking out my 240mm top fan and now running the 4 120mm in P/P. I have the crazy loud Corsair stock fans speed controlled down to a whisper 1400 rpm which matches the Noc's as pushers.

Please let us know your temps under load when you get a chance. The H100 is of interest to me how it works for you.

Noctua has the ugliest color schemed fans.

Nicely done getting everything back in place and up and running.

I agree, Noctua are ugly but they work great. I have 5 of them and the only problem other than color is the price.

New CPU cooler. H100, H80, H70 Core with custom fans or H2o 620?
Hi guys, I'm trying to decide between an Antec H2o 620, an H70 core with custom fans, an H80 and an H100. I'm running an 8210 Oc'ed to 4300K and do play some demanding games. My case comes prepared to install a 240 mm radiator, hence the H100 is an option, but I think it might be overkill and...

H100 pump makes somewhat loud grinding noise
Just finished installing my upgrades to my computer, including a nice new H100, and it would appear my hopes for a silent PC one day have been blown out of the water, with this cooler at least. The pump unit is making a sound like...well...a loud pump really, a constant grinding/buzzing/humming...

I can't get my H100 Corsair CPU cooler installed. I have the right screws but the if I use the screws mentioned in the manual guide, the cooler won't fit ontop of the screws because one side is too thick. If I use the thinner part of the screw it won't touch the CPU. I've been stuck on this for...
