    Pics of GIGABYTE’s X79 lineup

It seems that GIGABYTE has done a final revision change on their whole X79 lineup, as the boards we saw at IDF 2011 are not going to be those sold in stores, the presentation below showcases the new boards as well as some new technology. GIGABYTE calls it 3-Way Digital Power, 1 CPU Digital PWM, and 2 Memory Digital PWMs.

That G1 Assassin looks simply awful. It has a toy gun on it FFS.

I completely agree. That alone sets me off from it.
But you know there will be many that think its the most amazing thing ever.....

eVGA just released a sneak peak at the x79 FTW as well.

Im actually considering just building a x79 rig. Still a bit uncertain though.

I say the assassin is a must for big graphic's card SLI'g or Tri-SLI'g to cover up that southbridge. What were they thinking.....are we eight years old or something?

Don't mean to hijack the thread but maybe we can call this thread "Pics of X79 Motherboards" instead. I found a bunch of articles on Asus' boards as well that were just posted today.

    Asus' X79 Motherboard lineup revealed

Me thinks in about a year I'll rebuild, perhaps on Win 8 as well if it has some things I want.

There are many already expressing desire. Definitely a personal thing...

Ditto. I doubt I will though. I just don't need the extra oomph these days.
