    Worth overlocking gtx260 for BF3?

Would i notice any difference if i overlock geforce gtx260 in battlefield 3?

The requirements say i'll be able to play in medium but in campaign the graphics seem choppy when i move the mouse, looks fine when i stays still. So lowering the graphics to low fixes this but was wondering if overclocking will allow me to play on medium without the problem.

    sorry noobie here

I have never personally overclocked my GPU beyond some playing, as I don't game. But look at this site, they got a considerably higher result from overclocking.

In general, if you overclock, make only small changes to one setting at a time, then test in your game. Make notes of what works, and if you see any artifacts, return to your last setting. It will be very important to monitor the temps throughout. Don't just jump to the settings they achieved in that link. Every GPU will be different, and all systems are different. In general, a good GPU will be capable of better numbers. Often they sell OC versions of the same card, that have the exact same hardware.

Take a look at this expansive article from Tom's Hardware regarding different graphics cards and BF3. I suspect you get get small improvements, however you are still going to be limited by your card only supporting DirectX10, rather than 11, where you would get substantial graphics improvements. Yes, you should overclock your card (my opinion), but I would not expect huge gains from it.
