    WTF!

I just typed a huge post, tons of info, and tons of pictures of my new build, and I went to click post and the internet died. ( Being really shitty today )

I really don't feel like doing that all again! Waaaaaaaaa!

    EK WB...
I finally found a spot with ek waterblocks, they have to special order from the uk, but i can get them, so I am still waiting for my legendary chassis to arive ,then i can start getting the watercooling parts together, sofar I have a nice list of items I am certain on, i swaped the danger den vga waterblock for a ek nickel/acental block, and swapped the bitspower 150mm reservoir for a ek 250 advanced one. Also swapped colour of my tubing from blue and red to (secret) and swapped some barbs for a new sexier looking compresion fittings. I am just waiting for stock info on a black ice sr1 4x140mm, if they don't have or the import cost are to much I will take the XSPC 480 quad rad. And then i can finally start my wc build.

Haha, i am thinking of all black,as in black tubes with black liquid and white leds just so you can see the stuff, or white tubes, with black blocks and white fans. Or white vga tubes and red cpu tubes, but no more colour leds or bright fans,i did the hole intense colour lighting on my current build, so this time going for clean and plain.

Nice theme choice and lighting system build. With your to be lighting system, the chasis and its parts inside will be shined as a whole rather than in partial as fan led does.

    Again goodluck man ...

If you want a black a white theme, what about clear tubes/reservoir, with black liquid..?

I had a similar idea a little while back with black/white: Black blocks with clear covers (so you can see the liquid flowing over a black base) and clear tubes, filled with white liquid, and then a couple hidden white lights (so from the outside you can't see the actual light source). Not that I can afford any of this yet, but maybe one day I might.... :)

Thanx, yaeh I don't wan't the bright shining colours anymore, just hidden as ZaliTH said, white led strips in bottom compartment, so it just shows all the parts.

I wanted to at first, but I did allot of research on WC,and for the most parts everyone says that colour flued or "dyes" tend to clog up the rads and the block, I saw some pics of what happens when using mayem dyes, it starts of with small build up and grows over time, till you loose all sufficiant cooling. Some never get it,others get it after 3-6months. So I read the best liquid is distilled water,it's cheaper and safer. So I am going to use that with a silver coil for algie.

Just for general info. Copper waterblocks are the best for cooling, best heat regilator and so on(except for dimonds, but who can afford a entire wc rig made out of dimonds)Thermal conductivity of Copper is 401 W, BUT copper wc block will Oxidized after long use and turn a greenish colour. Where as nickel plating removes that issue. The conductivity of Nickel - 91 W/mK . But report have shown that EK nickel block tend to "flake off" after only 3-4months(some,not all) and EK has adressed the isue and replied and bla bla(not going to post all that.)

    plexi vs Acetal
Plexi: Dyes and some solutions will chip away at the insides, and can cause cracking over the long run. Then you will have leaks,or the barbs screwing in can crack it under presuere.
Acetal: Don't have these isues and allot stronger.

In the end it all goes about what the user want's, if you like the nickel look, get it,like the copper look? get it. Same as in plexi or acetal. And using dyes are WAY nicer looking than clear water. But I am going for safest over longterm wc. So it'll be nickel and acetal, with distilled water and silver coil.

I had my reservations about the nickel plating idea (I've read a couple similar complaints online regarding that), but never knew about the coloured fluid issue.

I'll definitely keep that in mind when I do one day go for a WC rig... Thanks!
