I honestly kinda doubt it will be substantial. You could also do aftermarket cooling for the cards, if its available.

I'd think you'd get more cooling with a fan blowing on the cards. This will be pulling air out of the case, but I don't see it specifically cooling the cards. Takes up 2 slots as well.

Even something like this might be better, but I doubt it will help much.

    Now something like this...

For adding some cooler intake air flow for your crossfire set up consider this and you may need to wrap some stiffening wire to keep in place.

Regarding filter material the fabric I choose is working fantastic with the magnetic strips placed around it's edges.

If your case is aluminum then velcro would be the way to go sewing the one side to the fabric. Other wise use premium double face tape and then stick the sticky magnetic tape to that. It works sweet!

    Yeah, just not worth it.

Good idea - but 70mm fans - gonna be noisy.

    Nice.

Realistically, wacking a 120mm fan behind the cards should be enough to keep the noise down as well having an impact on temps.

When ,I first put together the crossfire it used to crash cause i was use-ing the 12.1 preview driver and the darn thing got too hot but only on Dead Island which for some reason didnt tolorate the set up

I then brought the clocks down a bit /by the way im use-ing 2 different makes hd6870's the guy at the store said i needed the same brand but thats Horse-shhhhh

anyway after getting it to behave i got the driver from AMD and seriously tamed it down alot i even got dead island to stay going and temps were reaching 62-70 max which is with-in specs 85c being too hot to handle

I just figured i wanted extra bang for the set up but what i can do in turn is change the fans on my heatsink because i might end up with a 8 core Bulldozer chip soon

The prices are dropping faster than pants on a unvirginized hooligan

I would like to use magnetic tape a lot, thats the optimal outcome.
