bhavv,
I like the amount of cooling you've managed in a tight space. Also using the spot cool to aid air flow between your cards is a good idea. If you go with this new card wow that will be amazing. Will you do one at first with the goal of adding a second or are you jumping in deep and SLI'g?
Welcome to SF and see ya around !
No I'm not adding a second GTX 670, not yet anyway, I only play at 1920x1200.
Maybe in a years time when prices are lower I'll add a second, or maybe even a dual GPU version for tri SLI :)
I'm keeping the mobo + CPU until they go obsolete though, and just upgrade the graphics.
Sorry, but how exactly will you run tri sli with presumably the 690(cause that will be dual gpu) and 1 single 670? Or did you mean use the dual card and just add the 670 for physics? Making it one dual card, built as sli and one separate 670?
Haha, okay, but I'd suggest rather going for a 690 if you want dual cards,it will use less power then 3x670's and you can allways add another for quad sli. Plus these cards usually come in some form of limited edition(history will prove this statement) so your bound to get some classy card if you wait 1-2 years.
Hi bhavv,
No doubt it will be an awesome card, but I find most of the 670's to be priced a bit high in the UK. I certainly was expecting them to be much less.
A GTX 680 is only £48 more on Overclockers than the 670 you have shown.
Maybe its just me but I was expecting them to be £300 ish.
The 670 certainly looks like its gonna be an amazing card, I read a review on one earlier and was very impressed.
Have fun with yours, I am sure you will
Paul.
The one I picked was a custom cooled one though, £35 more expensive than the reference design which is £325.
The cheapest GTX 680s are also reference designs, and you need to pay an even larger premium for custom cooled ones.
I dont buy reference design :)
