Windows 7: help fixing bad stability

i got an odd bsod while playing bf3. just got a noctua dh14. keeps my system cool, peaking at 48.5 degrees at 3.9 ghz. i suspect i did not give it a high enough voltage. my multiplyer was at 19x, making it 3.9ghz, and my voltage was at 1.4250v.

although i think the problem was the voltage, i wanted a second opinion...

OH, and im using an amd phenom II 965be

dont know if im prepared to run stability test, will run for a few min, see how the temps look, if they seem pretty low ill leave it on for an hour or so

it appears to have peaked at 50.1... roughly

Bump to 1.46, then if you are stable turn it down until you are not. Once you find that point, turn it back up just a bit.

oh, and what was the BCCode for the BSOD?

sorry for wait, just crashed AGAIN, sitll unstable. the code was 0x00000124. time to try 1.46 ghz

i should say, my goal is to get a good OC at 4.1ghz... not unheard of, but from what i understand, not common for my model. we'll see if i can actually get that high, if 1.4591 doesnt work i will try 1.6220 with 4ghz

ok, i tried at 1.6250 at 4ghz, BSODd almost instantly. it seems to be peaking right around 51c then crashing, or BSODing. its late for me here, im going to look more into it later. anyone else want to throw their two cents in id appreciate it.

PII 965be, crashes right around 51c when OCd over 3.8ghz.
i still hold true that it is likely a voltage issue, but maybe someone with more experience can help me find a good combination, if i go TOO too much higher my new heat sink might stop doing its job.

Thornton, I don't think your MoBo is meant to handle that kind of overclock. You may have hit your ceiling.
