Don't know anything about AMD's but those volts seem a little high to me. Hows the heat (temps)????

The AMD Phenom II's are good up to 1.50 volts My cpu is water cooled and runs about 37 to 40 even under heavy load. but the video cards run about 50 to 54 under heavy load.

The Cpu temp vs the Cores temps: My Cpu temp is always about 5*c less than the temps for the four cores. The Cpu temp is taken from under the socket, and core temps from on-die right? (For AM3)

But more importantly, why is it that it matters, what's the difference, why does it matter?

Again, just because it's being discussed, I want to pick at your brains for info.
CPU core temperatures come from the digital thermal sensor (DTS) built into the processor. The CPU temperature generally comes from a sensor built into the motherboard. CPU core temperatures are the ones to be more concerned about and can range from 5 to 8 above the CPU temperature.

Nice OC man! Are those i7's able to take more heat than the PhII's? Heh.. I think you're the only one I've seen running hotter than I am. (Still waiting for cooler to arrive)
