Also with a ASRock Fatal1ty 990FX Professional
PhenomII X6 1055T, 2.8GHz, 1866MHz Ram. Not trying to oc the CPU yet, getting new RAM up to speed.

Gary with that multi locked 1055T, if you're planning on overclocking the CPU I would start there and use the increased HT/FSB to bring the ram up to speed.

I need to get the new board stable and booting properly before I can play too much Richard. I did have the 1055 up to 4.2GHz but not stable. 3.9 was the highest stable. This new board has more settings I can make and I need to acclimate to it.

Tell me about it. These new UEFI bios' have more options than you can shake a stick at. The fun part is figuring out what most of them do, especially all the voltage settings that were put in primarily for Bulldozer. If nothing else they are a heck of a lot easier to navigate around in.

Thanks Guys/Gals!! It's fun to jump up there every now and again but I mostly stick to my 24/7 speed of 4.5ghz, it's really all I ever need.

@tw33k: Yes it got a bit warm, and thats on a H70 cooler. If I ran better fans than the stock ones and ran them full out it might of stayed a bit lower.

Yes, it's nearly like a new language for me. I think I will like it a lot once used to it and new terms and finding all the tweaks available.

Alas, the new board took a dump just 2-3 days after installing it and I am returning it for replacement. Good news is I bought it through one of Newegg's sales and it has a 60 day return on it.

Question to all
With all the good numbers and benchmarks floating around, does anyone see an actual big jump in performance in day-to-day use? I never have other than apps maybe opening a little faster.
