Upgrade a System - Build a New System
I have several things going on here. I have a HP dv7 latop I have to replace the fan on it. I also have a family member that has 2 old desktop systems that they no longer use, (one works the other I think needs a power supply) so I want to upgrade one of them if you think it's possible for my needs. Not sure if you call it gaming but I run Microsoft Flight Simulator X, the new Microsoft Flight, and Train Simulator 2012, and I am looking at DCS Warthhog 10, (which is about 6 months to a year old) at this time. But it is mainly just for getting FSX to run at decent frames per second, and such. Can you tell I like simulation software! FSX as it is known came out in 2006 but is very graphics and processor intensive and generates alot of heat. Since it basicly broke the fan in my laptop, thus the need to replace the fan. I want to upgrade one of the old desktops from several years ago with a graphics card, memory, and possibly a new power supply. But I want these parts to be able to be moved over to a completely NEW build when I am ready probably early 2013.
I will have to get the model numbers and info for you on the old desktops for you to be able to tell me if this is possible. I do know that are running Windows Vista, 32 bit I am sure. And they probably don't have a dedicated graphics cards!
Does this make sense to you?
