I built this one around a 775 socket just to see how much I could get out of it with and without OCing. I was able to get 3.8G without trouble and it would have gone farther, but why push it. Right now it's stock, and that's the way I run most of the time. I use this rig for business and some gaming. Does everything well and runs cool always, even on those hot summer days when this room (no AC) gets into the high 80's F.
I'm using lga775 how much does the quad cost? Could do with one
I bought mine almost 3 years ago. At he time it was over $350 and has the largest L3 cache (12MB) of any I've seen. Even by today's standards it's considered a fast processor. If you can still find one I'd be curious what they cost now.
Is this not the same as show us your rig thread?
Anyway, I don't mind posting a few more pics of my rig Full specs in my system specs below.
I wish I hadn't looked at your specs! Now I've gotten a sudden urge to do another build...Geez...30+ days of torturous fun may be in my future. Nice rig. Neatness DOES count!
That looks really nice Paul, I have that same case and my God is it spacious! Very very good airflow in the Antec Eleven Hundred as well. Anyway, this computer is the only one I use, and while I'm using the on-chip HD 4000 graphics, it runs MW3 at 1080 with the highest settings possible....will step up to probably a 660Ti when I run into a game that this won't run.
The pics are crap, and I'm not 100% done with the build. Still have some wiring issues to address.
