OneDarkLord, maybe consider building your own computer. There are a bunch of people here who are very good and will help picking parts and tell you how every step of the way. You could start with a new Motherboard, CPU and ram and use the parts you already have for the rest, then upgrade those as money allows.
It's pretty cold out (finally) so I'm gonna take Steve's advice and try for 4.6 again, and hopefully I won't wake up tomorrow burnt to a crisp.
Hi guys,
Here's my OC with new board and CPU.
Temps: 43C Core Temp, 50C CPU (max)
Stable after 10 passes of IBT very high setting.
I couldn't have done it without Tommy's help, advice and patience. Thank you very much!!!
Cheers,
J
Nice Oc Bungee
I upped mine slightly today from 4.0 to 4.3Ghz. I've not spent a lot of time on it and reckon the Vcore could come down some or i could go up another multiplier. Scores in Cinibench/ Unigine and MaxxMem have all increased slightly and WEI has gone from 7.3 to 7.5 for the cpu.
Cinibench score
Cpu @ 4.0= 4.89
Open GL =46.46
@ 4.3
Cpu = 5.24
Open GL = 49.35
After 10 passes of IBT max temp was 46c so all good so far![]()
Here is my new one with some further tweaks.
Seems to be running at ridiculously low Vcore under load.
I read about the vdroop issues with these boards, but this much?
BIOS set at 1.43, runs at 1.37 tops.
Can it be that CPUZ is reporting the wrong vcore?
Cheers,
J
