The chip you have can go 5 ghz easy I read so many reviews on how they push that chip hard
I don't think i've seen 1 post where a 6100 got 5Ghz. Fairplay to em. Hopefully i'll get some better results but i shall take it easy as i just want to get it properly stable. The cpu/nb v on this is terrible. it's currently set 1.25v in bios which in windows bounces around between 1.244 and 1.296, 1.268 @ load. The majority of time its at 1.257 lol. If i use med llc instead of high it gets worse and goes over 1.3v.It's drove me mad for ages.
Edit: here a HWiNFO64 graph @ idle and then i cinebench run. Note vcore is stable @ 1.452v with the odd drop to 1.440 but cpu/nb is up n down.
I know that it should be doing that due to llc but not as much.
Edit 2: after a quick google i see these doing 5Ghz but with some serious voltage's. 1.6v :O

Congrats on 5GHz Tommy.
Ryan don't stress trying to get 5GHz, I got it once with my i5 but now run 4.4GHz daily which is a full GHz above stock frequency. Remember the people who write about the great overclock have money to burn or AMD/Intel supplies chips by the tray and they pick the best ones.
Yea Don't worry trying to get up that high
I wanted to see if I could do it and make it work during IBT @5ghz it ran for like 2 passes then hung the program froze but my PC was still working so I took that as it wasn't ment to be and after hitting 5Ghz I went back to my 24/7 clock of 4.812 Ghz
It was fun trying 4.921 Ghz failed after 8 passes which I think was good enough but it didn't do the last two so hence there is a problem there but on the flip side very satisfied with what I have and i'm part of the 5ghz club yea Buddy![]()
Don't worry folks
I have absolutely no intention of trying that high i'm not that brave nor clued up enough. I plan to stick with 4.5/6 but want to get to the bottom of why my cpu/nb v and llc is so fkt.
I bugged me big time for age's and is the reason i ent enjoyed playing with my board/cpu as much as i wanted. Hopefully a more mature bios will solve this.
Yeah i know what some of these overclocker's spend lol. I spend a bit of time on the ROG forum's and those guys are nutz. They go out n buy boxes of gpu/cpu's n ring their necks to cherry pick the good one's.
Ok if you got the $$ and patience![]()
I just found this very detailed comparrison of a lot of different fan's http://www.overclock.net/t/1274407/f...#post_17562684
It's well worth a butcher's![]()
