Finally got to delid my 3770K and the results are fantastic. I used Liquid Ultra on all 4 surfaces

    The delta temp dropped 22.5c!
    Congrats, that's a great improvement

I'm keeping both because there's a problem with the one I delidded. The IMC is screwed up and only 1 DIMM works. I want to play around with it some more to see if I can get the others working

I definitely got lucky with this chip. Real low voltage needed. Also, I've seen lots of Ivy Bridge chips, including 2 others that I've owned, which display 1 core as 10c+ higher than the other cores while the system is idle. This chip doesn't. All cores are basically the same temp. I don't think I'm going to delid this one. Too risky

I had the chip this high but it called for too much voltage to be stable for a 100mhz gain im still happy with 4.7 Ghz 24/7 not shabby at all

yeah it's good to get your bang for your buck i just don't want to pump so much voltage into that chip seems like it oc's well in low voltage compared to others who are going as high 1.52 volts
