    My 4.6
Tommy, is that voltage typical for the new CPUs at that clock speed?

Yes the voltage is pretty bad on this one

The average voltage i am actually at is 1.344 what you are seeing is the LLC in action 1.344upwards to 1.366 volts

in Order to do 4.7 -4.8 stable takes from 1.37-1.4.00 which is plain out silly 1.4 is the wall and most chips don't go that much over 4.6 anyway

This guide will show you that the voltage on this thing can get crazy people running 4.6 hitting 1.38 volts and that is average lol Skylake Overclocking Guide [With Statistics]

Full load my temps go from 67c to 72c i have once ina while seen it hit 80c but not often i call that a win

By the way i changed my Overclock it's still 4.6 but i cranked up the BLCK and drop the multiplyer Mem 3200Mhz boosted to 3300 Mhz

Just my opinion so please don't kick me in the goodies.

I would suggest if you are going to run that over clock with those voltages and temperatures of get more cpu cooling.

I'm not sure why a 95W cpu should run that hot.

That some wild temps for a H110i GT 80c

Did you remember to crank up the pump to performance and fans to max ?

If you read the guide i posted you will find my temps pretty much normal it has nothing to do with the cooler at all higher voltages more heat in this case these chips are volt hogs just to achieve 4.7 you need at least a V-core of 1.37 volts lol

This isn't your Sandy or Ivy and better yet Devils Canyon this is a whole new spectrum

It's not the cooler that is how they run but that was just a Brief showing of what temps are like when the system is being stressed those 70c to 80c is Running test like IBT it is meant to make it run like that average my temps don't go over 43C

You guys must of got me wrong when i said the temps this was stress testing temps lol

Also my Vcore is 1.344 it goes up because LLC is set to level one which means it boost to 1.36 during stressing to assure proper voltage

Plus i overclocked my ram from 3200mhz to 3300mhz

Okay but is that using the default settings for the cpu cooler ?
I was just wondering if you adjusted the cpu coolers pump and fans/ profiles is all

Yes Default settings no need to ramp it up i see about 50c at best gaming

Yea well if you're going to hop up the voltage I'd also at the least hop up the fan speeds on corsair cooler
Might see way less than 80c.

You will not trust me the fans rev up on load that is the purpose of it having it set like that

There is no reason to ramp up fans just because i am not running torture test 24/7

My temps on a average don't go above 50c when gaming that is pretty much where most intel chips stay at anyway when gaming on Battlefield etc i am playing fallout4 that game is very demanding for my CPU to only hit 45-50c is a big time win and it means my cooling is doing it's job

Plus i am not using regular old fans i am using SPfans all around my set up and my Airflow is great

If you every build a Z170 you will see exactly what i mean everyone across the board will have the same results with Skylake that is just how it is and above all much more easier to overclock

I trust you I was just wondering

Personally I like the balanced setting for the fans.
