Bungee18;2267024...@Lady Fitzgerald, individually sleeved extensions not only look good but are much more flexible, bendable, than PSU cables. It is much easier to get them connected and they put less stress on mobo and video card connectors... But again, tastes are tastes... :zip:...[/QUOTE said:

Granted, they would be more flexible but the stock cables can be pre-bent/shaped so, when plugged in, they won't stress anything.

Btw, I wasn't picking on your rig specifically (bad wording on my part; yours looks good); I just don't like individually sleeved cables. As you said, tastes are tastes and I'm obviously in the minority. :)
    Lady Fitzgerald,
I didn't feel you were picking on my rig, and no problems whatsoever with your choice of words.
I was making a technical observation, not defending my rig!
I would like to see some new pics on the progress you are making with your new build.
    Cheers,
    J

Thanks Juan, that is about the 3rd iteration of wiring, I'm 3-4 versions farther now, lol.
lol. I already re-did mine like 5 times and I've only had the rig for about 3 months.

LOL! I've been fighting that urge. At some point, one has to say, "I'm done" (though the reasoning for that I'm not so sure about.) I was in Fry's the other day and had to tear myself away from the case department. I need blinders when I'm in that candy store (at least that candy won't raise my blood sugar levels).

Whew! I was horrified when I reread what I wrote!

My project is on hold right now because the MOBO I want has become unavailable () and it is questionable whether it will be back again. I do have a Plan B board in mind (ASUS P8Z77-V Deluxe) but I really, really want the Plan A board (ASUS P8Z77-V Premium). Once I either get the Plan A board or give in and settle for Plan B and get the thing built, I'll post photos.

    Hi guys,
So I managed to finish it, take some pics, overclock (thanks Tommy!) and run some benchmarks.
I finally got the new card to run in CF!
I also added some LEDs (not very sure about keeping them) and noise dampening kit (something like Road Kill).
    Here are the pics.
    Thanks for bearing with me.
    Cheers!

Well done, Bungee. Looks great. I'm glad you got your CFX figured out. That's a very nice, clean looking rig. Well done on the wiring too.

Really nice rig Juan! Are those custom coolers on your GPUs?

Nice job, Bungee. Since you have a window on the side, I would keep the LEDs. You can always dim or switch them out when you don't need or want them.

No, Gary, those come stock with the Sapphire OC edition. I think they are called Dual X.
