Lady Fitz am wondering what are those fan brands are as I cannot make out the brand from the pic![]()
Thanks! The fans aren't Artic. The case fans are Thermaltake AF0018 120mm 800-1300 rpm with an attached speed control pot. I guess Thermaltake intended the pots to just dangle from the cable attaching them to the fans since there is no mounting bracket on them. I had to fabricate brackets to mount them.
The fan on the CPU cooler is a Gelid Silent 14 PWM 140mm 750-1200 rpm. The fan that came with the cooler was a cheap looking 120mm that left a rim of nickel plated steel around the fan that looked totally tacky. The curious thing is the fan runs at around 680-690 rpm when the computer is idle.
Thanks everyone,
Something about shooting with my little digital camera makes the lights seem overly bright. They are bright but nothing like the way the camera captures them. I just installed one of these in my next used parts build and I was so impressed I ordered one for the main rig. These are real quality kit for anyone considering some LED lighting.
Cheers.......Vegas Baby Vegas !
