Hey don't put yourself down mate I like it cos it is nice and neat and simple mind you I would be getting the case standing on a piece of board or some sort of flat surface instead of the carpet. mate. Personally I don't like floor level stuff too much crud down there even if it is only the 50,000 dead skin cells you shed a day LOL!! (depending on how big you are of course LOL!!

Oh and what is that about linking??
    Thanks.

Yeah, probably a good idea to look into getting a little stand for it or something. Maybe a re-purposed foot stool without the cushion. Might not have to clean it out as much then either. We have a couple of cats too.

The signature images aren't live linked, so it doesn't show the updated stats for how much I've been crunching for BOINC (similar to folding@home). Unless I'm missing something?

Hey that looks a real nice site - I must be honest I had no idea what it was or what it can do.

Now if I am thinking right you want to put that BOINC image for a siggy at the bottom?

If so try taking a snip of that BOINC window and save it to say the desktop then when you go into your CP at the top > go to Edit signature > if that message at the bottom is your current siggy delete it as in my pic and add the new BOINC.

Look I am not promising anything but if it doesn't work I ask my mate as you may have to resize it.

Yeah, I can get a copy of the image there, just not a "live" version of it that updates as my stats change like the one I linked to does. I'd have to manually update it each time when I remember to, and I'm too lazy for that. LOL

Thanks for looking into it for me though. +Rep. :)

Sorry Wrend but I didn't think it supports even moving sigs let alone an ongoing update. I know the Avatar does as you have probably noticed. One thing you could do is update the sig each week that would work if that is of any consolation ?

Oh and thanks for the rep as a rule I don't worry about it that much to be honest I just like to try and help where I can and really I am no expert but all the same - thanks.

Have you tired any of the tutorials yet one I thoroughly recommend to everyone and use on all my machines is this one it will really get a bit more horse power out of the machine if you don't mind losing a bit of the "bling" like transparency - but there is more than that.

Thanks. Yeah, I think I've taken a look through there before; taking another one now though in case I missed something I'd like to use.

Windows performance isn't really an issue for me though, but I have tweaked it a bit for how I use my computer. For example I don't use the paging file (generally not a good idea to do this, but it works fine for my needs).

I still have a HDD (though I have a lot of it cached by SuperFetch) as my main drive. Holding out for a 1TB SSD when they drop in price enough for a quality one. Then I'll just use the HDD for backup.

I have a pretty large RAM drive too, and run a Minecraft server on that. Looking into using it to record uncompressed HD video+audio too.

This is all while I keep my CPU and GPUs dynamically fully loaded crunching for BOINC in the background, so my computer is up and running nearly 24/7. I can also remote desktop into it on my Nexus 7 tablet from anywhere with Wi-Fi to check on things.

Coo crikey a terabyte SSD wow I am struggling to be able to get a 256GB but there again I don't have the need that you do.

But I think the stand is probably just as important at the moment just a piece of MDF board or some chipboard cut to the width you want and some castors on it would be so easy to make and spray paint say matt black. You would get the mobility to for cleaning underneath I am sure the boss would like that

If the updated Bionic stats are at a web address, you can link that in you sig space. A Guy

Hum does that mean it will just link in to the latest results in a web page? or actually show those results for that actual time one logs in or it would say for instance give you an on going total or would it?

I'll just remove the signature for the time being and think about what I want to do with it. I don't think I'd want people to have to follow a link.

The way the image I liked to works is that the hosting site updates it every so often and whoever is viewing it gets the updated image when they reload it, so it isn't technically "live;" it just updates when the image is reloaded.

    ...

The casters are a great idea. They would also let me get to the back of the case easier without having to tilt it forward. I'll look into setting up something like that soon.

Glad I was of some help then Wrend even if it meant you can do the vacuuming easier LOL LOL!!

Oh make sure the castors are able to swivel and are reasonably large diameter ones too mate those tiddly little things are worse as none at all - probably around 50mm (2inches) minimum I would go. :)

Mate a nice quote is good for a siggy anyway and I am sure you are more than able to find or quote a a good one . Mine is an Einstein quote I have thought so true for years.
