ganjiry, do you really think AIDA64 was the cause of your red screen? I would really like to know. I was planning to buy it, but not if it causes problems like that.

I have been using AIDA64 for the last 3-4 months and I've not had any trouble with it. None just having it installed, none starting it up and none while stress testing the components. Were you using a fairly recent release?

Just checked the site because mine has been bugging me for an update for awhile, and it looks like the new version(2.60.2100) adds support for some GeForce GTX video cards, such as the 650, 660. The problem Ganjiry was experiencing might have been some bug with fairly new hardware, SLI, etc.....may or may not have been fixed with the new update. Who knows

    yes mate 100%
    the reasons for this are,
strangely id been running the one card without any probs at all with aida running at startup. because i could'nt get both cards in together i switched them just to make sure the second card was'nt faulty in any way. i started my pc up fine but as soon as aida started i got the red screen. so i put the original 670 in which redscreened as soon as aida launched so i rebooted into safe mode and stopped aida from launching at startup. rebooted fine.
i spent a good few hours trawling the net for cause of the red screen as id never heard of it b4. what i found was that on pre kepler cards aida used to read the bios via a certain file thats not present in the kepler cards so the driver just chucks a wobbler n red screens but this was only suposed to be in an older version of aida. i was running the latest version though.
GPU tweak and a couple of other programs cause it too but not all the time.

edit: ive not tried installing aida again but may do as i used to use its onscreen display for monitoring temps/voltages n so on

If you kept AIDA from starting up, and after you were booted up started the program up, did you get the Red Screen? Was it just with AIDA running at startup, or was it AIDA running period?
