    Very nice upgrade, silverstormz.

Latest addition to my setup should be here tomorrow, and then I have to go SSD hunting.

Are you looking for performance, size, or both?

To-day I received in the post my new external dvd-rw drive and new 19" TFT Monitor, both second-hand, but in very good condition and real bargains. The Monitor cost me about £40 including P&P and the drive about £20 including P&P. All of this unwrapping has made me a bit tired, but at least both things came to-day when I have time to try them out properly.

Get some rest Carl, you sound absolutely exhausted! Unwrapping stuff is hard work......I once pulled the muscles in my arms doing that, was laid off work for 7 weeks.

A little bit of both. I was looking at the base 120 gig Sammy 840 and they go for a tremendous price, but at the same time I've discovered the Kingston HyperX 120 which has greater max read/write speeds than even the Pro parts.

    I still don't know yet.

I'm using a 120GB HyperX 3K. It is very nice.
According to reviews the regular HyperX (not the 3K) is a bit better performance wise, and of course it is 5K. According to same reviews the 840 Pro is way better than both.
Here's what I'm getting from my HyperX 3K, which is actually a tad better than advertised.
    Cheers,
    J
