Casing Cable Management
Hello everyone and I have some question with regards to the new case I am changing...
So, I am upgrading my case to Corsair Carbide 400R and I was wondering about the cable management for my Seasonic S12II PSU. I mean, are the cable in this PSU long enough to route it properly? Is there any tips and tricks for proper cable management? I understand that this case is a 'budget' case but is there any other better alternative? I like this case for its minimal form factor. Sorry for the question because this is my first time changing into a proper cable management case like this and I apologize if this is in the wrong thread as well. |

First it's a very good case with hidden cable management option and secondly as i researched on google about your PSU which is a Modular PSU if i'm not mistaking so i guess the cables usually that come along with Modular's are long enough so you could hook them up in a case like Carbide 400R

I just built a system using a Carbide 500R case, which I think is the same as the 400R except White color.
I had to orient my power supply so the 24 pin and 8 pin cables were toward the motherboard so they would reach, routing them on the back side of the motherboard. I have a Gigabyte GAZ77X UD5H motherboard. The 8 pin connector was long enough for this motherboard. I recently built another system using an ASRock Z77 Professional motherboard, in a different case, and I don't think the 8 pin connector would reach this board, in the Carbide case, with using an extender cable. |

Extender cables are relatively inexpensive. I would get the 8 pin and 24 pin extender cables in case you need them.

Thank you everyone, I have bought the case and is loving it.
For those who is using Seasonic S12II (620W) non-modular PSU, the cable can fit in just nice without any additional extender. |

Cable Management Pictures I've built around 10 computers so I'm by no means an expert. In my prior builds, I didn't really care about how it looked inside because (1) I don't over-clock so I didn't care too much about air-flow; (2) I don't like the plastic window in cases so I don't get them, therefore, nobody sees what my... |
