    Why not buy

    A10-5700 APU £90 (with Directx 11 for up-to-date games/run blu ray etc)
it idles at 27watts and is equivalent/more powerful than an FX8120 in many benchmarks

    a decent asus FM2 m/board m-atx A75/A85 £50-£100

Tweak your memory up to 1866 speed to help shared graphics (cos up to 2gb gets reserved from total memory)

This is a good local UK search engine esp as FM2 motherboards are still in short supply in Europe (sellers are taking price advantage) Choose your own prefered maker etc for a new search

The APU's are very responsive to faster RAM that's for sure. If you decide to go that way anyway.

thing is that the 6300 shows up to be much faster done the 5800k in cpubenchmarks.net(about 2000 point) so i would rather go for that any other opinions

you will be ok with the 6300 fx chip AMD has improved loads since the Bulldozer failure

the APU isn't going to be as powerfull as the 6300 combination with a 6870 it will flat out trounce the apu

so he is better off going the original route

Everything else is sweet the PSU though I would get a little more high quality Corsair 600w would supply all you need GPU and overclocking Newegg.com - CORSAIR Enthusiast Series TX650 V2 650W ATX12V v2.31/ EPS12V v2.92 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC High Performance Power Supply

if you can find something like this in your price range you should be good to go
this will get you the extra's in case you decide to go bigger in the future

6870 takes 500 watts PSU but little more would give you a smoother system

in GBP you will end up spending 56.00 GBP =89.99 US dollar http://finance.yahoo.com/currency-co...;to=USD;amt=56
