corsair h60 water cooler fan noise

Im assuming after today installing the corsair h60 water cooler and switching on the terrible noise from the supplied fan. Im assuming its the fan because obviously its new, but i did a couple of tweaks to my system whilst installing the cooler, i turned the psu the other way around and connected a case fan at the front what i hadnt connected previously, which is the same type of fan i took from the back of the case to install the cooler.
So options, is it ok to replace the fan supplied with the cooler by the one i took out. Ive read i can but need to make sure obviously.
The other thing is this new fan is running at 4250 rpm, whilst the others have hovered around 1100 rpm.

I also purchased 2 pack corsair af120 performance fans, could using one of these be ok and quieter

    Many thanks

I have an H80 cooler. The stock fans are noisy - too noisy for my recording studio use. I replaced them with "quiet" fans after talking to Corsair who told me users that had issues with the stock fan noise were replacing them with "quiet" fans.

My H80 has a 3 speed fan switch mounted on the CPU cooler assembly. Don't know if the H60 has this.

All fans are not made equal. To put it simple.

Some fans are designed to mover air through a none restricted environment like a tower. Then their are fans designed to push air through the restrictions of a radiator.
Just because a fan will physically attach to the cooler does not always make it the correct choice.

Look at my specs and you will see my choice of fans.

Layback, what rpm is the rad on your system. My rad is running at 4300 rpm, to me that seems high.
Does anyone know the fan speed of this system?
Ive tried the corair af120, gosh thats noisier than supplied fan, so i think i will get a noctua nf p12 as recommended in a couple of threads ive read

kingscurate my fan speed is 1200 rpm for the radiator. Please note that both fans on the radiator are hooked up to a single 12v motherboard connection. I'm not sure if that will cause a half reading. I do it this way to make sure that both fans run at the same speed in a push/pull. My pump speed is 1420 rpm hooked to the cpu fan connector on the motherboard. This method keep my computer cool and quiet with the fans I use. (See My Specs)

When my cpu is at 52c the radiator is at 84c. The incoming and out going tubes of the radiator are at 82c and 84c.

It depends a lot on the temps your computer is at and what source of power you are hooked into. I have some fans on another computer I use a 5v power. If I use 12v power is sounds like the air port in Cleveland.
A fan by it's self can't make it's self run faster. Only the incoming volts can do that. Something is making it run that fast or a programs is giving false readings. That is what a fan speed controller does. Controls the incoming volts and therefor controls the fan speed.

The information you need first is the cpu and gpu temps.

On standard intel heatsink, Cpu temp was around 25 C. Fan speed was 1100rpm.
2 case fans was also 1100rpm
Using H60 cpu temp is 19 c(currently) earlier on touched 30 C. The fan(not the rad) speed is around 1100 rpm same as ocase fan, but the rad is running at 4250 rpm thats connected to a system fan slot on Mobo as instructed by corsair and the fan is on the cpu slot on mobo.
You can see(i hope you do) why im sceptical as to whether its working correctly or am i worrying too much.
    Thanks for the input.

Gpu is about norm and system temp is same

Well you are running cool and that great. Is the fan noisy?
Most fans running that fast would be noisy. If it's not noisy I thinking that the program giving you those rpm is incorrect.

Sometimes when their are smaller fans in the case which do run faster the program will be picking up the rpm's from them.
A way to check this out is simple.
Turn off the computer. Unplug the fan you think is running to fast. Start your computer and see if the reading goes to zero. (FOR A VERY SHORT TIME)
If it doesn't go to zero the program is not reading the rpm's of that fan.

Just to be certain those rpm refer to the radiator. Admittedly it is a cool cpu temp. The noise of the fan is the stock supplied fan attached to the rad. AFAIK there is no noise or "excess noise" from the rad/cooler on the cpu.
You could be correct about the program reading the speed being wrong. Apparently corsair have a program you can download(hopefully) to monitor the fan speeds. Btw i need to update my system specs as its a new build.
