Yep my two cents worth mate once you have it right some close up shrink wrap tubing looks great.

Forgotten what the case is without looking all the way back but if it has those through grommeted openings use them to route cables behind the board from the PSU etc they really are the ducks paddles:)

I apologise for interrupting your Mad conversation here, but the courier came by my work today to drop of a "little" parcel for me... Hehe.

First thought when the box was offloaded: "OMG.. What is that thing?". The next thought came when I had to put it in my car: "OMG... What have I bought?".
    Show Us Your Rig [5]-2013-04-09-16.29.19.jpg

The same line of thought continued when I get home and then had to get it out of my boot and carry it inside... And it carried on while trying to get it out of the box. I had to lean it against the side of my bed and pull the case out sideways.

But, then she was free, and I drooled... I drooled epic drops of droolage. It truly was love at first sight.. Love and drool. Lol.

Just to give you an idea of the gravity of this particular upgrade, here she is next my old case.. Quite a difference, yes?

Anyway, the innards of my old case didn't stay in for long, but then I sat and dismantled the 600T completely, gave it a good clean (it is second hand) and made sure everything was good and tight. Then I got busy rebuilding my baby.

When I was done with the cable management, I started looking around my room for the rest of my computer, I couldn't believe that everything that came out of my old case, went into this one with so much room to spare!

Now between my new case and my new monitor, my big-ass wooden desk is starting to look a bit small hey.. But at least now my computer is living up to the name it's had for about 6 years: Monstrosity.

Oh, and I know you can't see the other side, unfortunately there's a big wall in the way there. But I haven't decided yet if I prefer the mesh panel or the window panel, so... I'll sort that out later and post a pic of the end result.

I always laid big boxes like that on their sides, opened the bottom and folded the flaps out of the way, tipped the box back up, then pulled the box off the product inside. I find that much easier than wrestling with whatever is inside.

That is a nice looking rig with plenty of room for airflow and future expansion. You could also keep gerbils in there.

    My new rig

Everytime I've considered buying a laptop/Notebook I've wound up putting the money into a new build as I had a hard time justifying the need for a notebook at times. This time however I've given in and got an Asus 13.1 inch Zenbook Prime since I really do need one for school. Anyway...

    Specs...

OS: Windows 8 Home Premium (64-bit) – I upgraded to Pro with Media player pack.
    Display: 13.3-inch Full HD IPS wide-view anti-glare panel display (1920 x 1080)
Processor: 3rd Generation Intel Core i7-3517U (1.9GHz) dual core
    Graphics: Intel® HD graphics 4000
    Wireless: 802.11 a/g/n; Bluetoth 4.0
    Memory: 4GB DDR3 1600 MHz SDRAM
Storage: 256GB SSD SATA 6Gb/s (unfortunately I got the sandisk version of the SSD drive )
    Camera: HD camera
Speakers: Stereo speakers with B&O Icepower and SonicMaster support
    Card Reader: 2-in-1 (SD,MMC)

    Input/ Output:
    1 x mini VGA port
    2 x USB 3.0 port
    1 x micro HDMI 1.4 (1080p support)
    1 x audio jack combo

Also bought the Microsoft Arc Touch Mouse to go with it.

The notebook is lightning fast though I’ve not attempted any gaming yet. I guess the limited space and Intel 4000 HD graphics has something to do with that. However I pretty much knew I wasn’t going for a gaming laptop so I’m not missing anything here; this is what the desktop is for. Anyway though it's powerful enough, I got this one for it's weight and size.

That said, I really haven’t put it through any serious testing yet; however I’m about to change that this week starting with some photo editing using both Adobe Lightroom 4 and Photoshop CS6. Also plan on trying out a like game like Valve’s Portal 2 just to see how it games with the Intel 4000HD.

For the week I’ve had it I’m very happy with it, even in my light use thus far. Windows 8 takes some getting used to, but I’m getting along just fine thus far. BTW this is the non-touch screen version.

Nice looking laptop, Sygnus. I'm sure you'll be happy with it. Like you, about a year ago, I finlly bought me one. I enjoyed the mobility of it until my Wife confiscated it. Hopefully, you'll get to keep and enjoy yours. Nice choice too. I suspect it will run Photoshop and Adobe well, it has the specs for it.

@Zalith. That is a great looking computer case you have there and a great build. If it were mine, I would put some leds in it, so I could see, put the window on it and put it on the right side of the desk so I could look at it all the time. Very nice case and nice build. You did well.

Really like the case, nice and roomy.
Is there a way to turn off or disable the leds ?
