Nice looking laptop, Sygnus. I'm sure you'll be happy with it. Like you, about a year ago, I finlly bought me one. I enjoyed the mobility of it until my Wife confiscated it. Hopefully, you'll get to keep and enjoy yours. Nice choice too. I suspect it will run Photoshop and Adobe well, it has the specs for it.
Well I don't have to worry about the wife confiscating this as long as my backup (now confiscated)) desktop is working. She has no need or want of a laptop.

As for both Photoshop and Lightroom, they run great. However I quickly discovered the downside of having such a large resolution (1920 x 1080) on a 13 inch screen - you can't read jack. I've had to hike up the view to 150 percent just to use view and read documents.

It's nice having the resolution, but unless you've got young eyes, or really good reading glasses...

@ Zalith, It's a good thing pparks isn't hanging around here anymore or he'd be banging you over the head for such a "large" and garish case. He likes 'em small and tight

    Anyway nice case.

It's all good parks if you read this, just having a bit of fun. I remember our battles over the Coolermaster HAF X

Sygnus, my Wife confiscated the laptop but doesn't even know how to turn on my desktop, which is fine with me! And zalith shouldn't worry about PParks, I have the HAF X now (my second HAF X), he can get on meif he wants. I happen to like large cases. It makes it a lot easier when you have to get inside and work on one or have something large to put inside.

I apologise for interrupting your Mad conversation here, but the courier came by my work today to drop of a "little" parcel for me... Hehe.

First thought when the box was offloaded: "OMG.. What is that thing?". The next thought came when I had to put it in my car: "OMG... What have I bought?".

The same line of thought continued when I get home and then had to get it out of my boot and carry it inside... And it carried on while trying to get it out of the box. I had to lean it against the side of my bed and pull the case out sideways.

But, then she was free, and I drooled... I drooled epic drops of droolage. It truly was love at first sight.. Love and drool. Lol.

Just to give you an idea of the gravity of this particular upgrade, here she is next my old case.. Quite a difference, yes?

Anyway, the innards of my old case didn't stay in for long, but then I sat and dismantled the 600T completely, gave it a good clean (it is second hand) and made sure everything was good and tight. Then I got busy rebuilding my baby.

When I was done with the cable management, I started looking around my room for the rest of my computer, I couldn't believe that everything that came out of my old case, went into this one with so much room to spare!

Now between my new case and my new monitor, my big-ass wooden desk is starting to look a bit small hey.. But at least now my computer is living up to the name it's had for about 6 years: Monstrosity.

Oh, and I know you can't see the other side, unfortunately there's a big wall in the way there. But I haven't decided yet if I prefer the mesh panel or the window panel, so... I'll sort that out later and post a pic of the end result.
My two bobs worth for what it's worth how about getting some of that nice mesh cable cover for the exposed stuff I made my own wrap around and there is always the shrink stuff but nice case though.

The side panel I am a fan freak so you already know which I would pick LOL!!

It's been kind of hectic for the past few days and couldn't find the time to check in as often as I'd like to.
Looks like I missed a lot!
@ Zalith, great case. That rig of yours is turning into some heavy duty piece of equipment. Congrats!
@ Cranky, you really went all out on that case. It is looking very nice, but follow Paul's advice and tips on wiring to improve air flow and keep your high performance parts as cool as possible.

Anyhow, I thought I'd share what I'm putting together for a very good friend whom after seeing my rig asked if I could build something similar for him, but with some extra customizations. Of course I was more than happy to oblige!!!!

Here are some pics. Will post some more when I'm done.
    Hope you like it.

    Cheers,

    J

I am still around, just spend a majority of my time on the 8 forums now.

don't get me wrong, I still use 7 almost exclusively, but 8 made for new experiences and a learning curve, so I needed a forum to discuss that.

as far as my case preference goes, I don't prefer tight tiny cases, but I certainly don't want a huge case for the sake of simply having a huge case. just give me enough for cable management, and a video card. And something small enough that I don't have to run any cable extensions.

    Thank you Gary and Steve!

@ Steve, the thought actually crossed my mind a couple of times, but I already have too much in my plate right now and besides I don't think I know enough to pull it off. Maybe some day in the future. Maybe Bungee's Custom Rigs & Modding Shoppe! Hahhahahahhhha!

    Cheers,
