Turns out the pic's are too big, 6 - 8 MB each.

How do I shrink them ?
In Microsoft Paint, there is a *resize* function that should do the trick :)
I don't have re-size on this machine, it is XP Pro.

Or you can try opening an image in the XP Paint, then save as a .jpg, sometimes that reduces the file size while keeping the image full size.

Tried this real quick and it shrunk them to just over 1 MB.

I use this for resizing pics Image Resizer for Windows - Home It just adds "resize image" to the right click menu and give you options about size.

So my give away build has taken a new avenue. Pulling off an older but still good MSI mobo as somehow I damaged the PCIe slot on the ASRock. This was good news and bad news but all in all it has come together well. Now I will clean install W7 and load drivers and put in a new 1TB spinner loaded with some goodies for my dear friend David. He still has now idea whats coming his way.
