Sygnus, don't you have a photography web site? I think I saw it once, and there were some really great pictures there. I was impressed.

Yeah I still have it, and it's up, but I haven't did anything to it in years. I sort of added some new stuff since getting my digital camera but the program I used make the colors look horrid.

Anyway I'm currently in an Internet Programing class where we're going over HTML and CSS3. With that'll be redoing the site later this summer. It really does need it.

    Anyway here's the site: www.exposedvisions.com

Yeah, Haswell might be a way to go. Problem is, it'll be new tech, and I'm not sure I feel like going down that path. But, it is worth looking into I suppose. I just hate to have to go with a first revision of this and that.
I'll do some research and see what's up.

    Thanks
Well I am late in here but am with both Dude and Paul one for the Z77 cos I think the Z87 looks cheap and cheerful (why gold??) and also what Paul says wait until the Haswell has been "bedded in" that is any niggles ironed out first.

Well since the motherboard will be in a case, I'm not too concerned with looks. Performance is what I'm looking at, not looks. Besides I don't think the boards look bad anyway, which is why they're a candidate in my book.

Hey John, watch out. I happen to like the black and gold. In fact, I had little interest in Haswell until I saw that board. Besides, who doesn't like gold? I need more of it!

Haswell is too close not to consider for sure. But for what sygnus21 is doing, I would go with a Socket 2011 platform if funds allow it.

I'm not sure why I didn't get notifications of the last several posts here, but it seems I missed a good conversation. Ask for rig pics and Alan is always the first to respond. That was certainly a good thing you did Alan. A friend indeed.

I missed Kelly wanting to make a server for Paul's 12 Gigs of Porn and all this stuff. You just can't miss a day on this thread.
LOL so much wrong with this Steve!

Kelly, I don't think anyone who understands what the 2011 socked is for can disagree with you. That is unless Haswell turns out to be much more than what I expect it to be. Haswell-E may be a different story, but that is much later and who knows what it will be.
