Looking gooood
Thank you :)
And was hoping if someone could confirm what temp would be okay for i7 3770 non-k version? With intel stock Cooler it went to 98c with full load, with this cooler it is around 77c max, usually lower. IS that okay? On intel's site it says 67.4c max ARK | Intel® Core
That does seem to be running a bit hot mate. I would think a non overclocked chip would run cooler. Mine only hits mid 60s at 4.6GHz.
Having said that, 77C is nothing to worry about. The 67.4C max thing is Tcase, don't worry about that. The max the CPU can handle before shutting down will be 105C so you are well within that.
By full load, do you mean running a stress test? If you were running something like Prime, yes 77 is OK. The temp Intel talks about is a temp no software can measure. We have to go by the temp of the cores, which is 105 max. I try to make it a point to not let it go over 90-95. That is running a stress test.
Yes while running a stress test it hits 77c for 5-10 seconds and then goes down, stays near 69c i think. Was running Intel Burn test and monitoring temp with CPUID HD monitor.
Also i am using a normal thermal paste right now, waiting for local shops to restock and then will buy some better paste too.
That is fine for IBT. That stresses a CPU more than even Prime95....so NOTHING you will ever do will put more stress than that on it.
ohh that's a load off thanks guys!
I too agree, IBT makes my CPU go to 85C-90C with the standard test. As its author states, "..will bring any CPU to its knees."
So i have spent more money A new case - CM Storm Stryker, a new power supply - Corsair AX860, a new CPU cooler - Gelid GX-7, and a new external hard drive - Toshiba 3tb Store-E.
Took everything out my old case and set up ready to install the new cooler, and compared the size of the case to the box of my new one......
After wards i installed the cooler plugged everything in to start the benching to make sure all was running smoothly
After that came the process of putting all of the components in to the case and make sure the cables are nice and tidy
However becasue the case is soooo big and heavy i had to improvise a free standing workstation to work around it freely
All went smoothly and is now running like a dream :)
And then at 1 o'clock in the morning i decided it was time for bed, but had to spend 20 minutes making space for sleep
