The top of the line GigaByte I got back in Jan has been discontinued at NewEgg already ????

But the GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD5 AM3+ is still available, which was the next step down from mine.

Since you aren't overclocking or running multiple cards etc - yes.

    Thank's for the quick reply.
Received the case and two of the three fans today. What is a good way to configure these ?

I think the ASUS M5A99X EVO R2.0 is a better buy over the Pro version. There's not much difference between a 990X and 990FX chip. The EVO has 2 eSATA 6GBs which I might find handy.

With fan arrangement, I like to have more intake than exhaust to make positive inside pressure to hopefully help keep dust our better.

Thank's for the advice on the MB.

What configuration would help keep dust out but also increase cooling capacity at the same time ?
    Is this possible ?

I received the last two parts on my list, before I start putting it all together I have a couple of questions.

What is the best way to install the CPU ?

I mean, so I don't have any problems warranty wise. It states to use the heat sink and cooler that came with it , (which look very small to me) if I do this what would be a reasonable amount of time before I install the GeminII I have ?

Should I just install the GeminII instead ?

Also, should I use the thermal paste which is already on the new heat sink or use Arctic Silver 5 ?

Use the Gemini right away and wash the per-applied paste off and use the AS-5. I think the warranty should say the CPU must have a heat sink, not the specific one included. Stock ones don't cool well at all.

Oh, and on the fans, having more intake than exhaust will bring in the most cool air.

Agreed on the stock one !
Problem is it does state to use the supplied parts. Of course I would rather use the Gemin II, as how could they tell which one was used or not ?

On the fans, if I add 1 to the front and 1 to the bottom for intake,
    then add 1 to the top for exhaust;
This would be 3 intake and 2 exhaust, this ok ?
