Well first thing you need to do is define a rough budget. Also right away you need to realize that the AMD rig will be a lower cost rig that runs right in between a top i5 and a lower i7 rig. I doubt you are considering the top end Intel chip as that's a grand right there. I would say the AMD FX 8 core or a i5 Intel 3rd gen, will rock your world. Ironically I see the FX architecture lasting longer then the next gen Intel. Meaning that your top flight AMD mobo will last for a generation or two with AMD upgrades where Intel is set to un-leash Haswell which it's unclear if it will work with current Intel mobo's.

    Thank's for the quick reply.
In the last 2 days or so I read a little about the Haswell CPU.

Doe's the ASRock 990FX MB have enough expansion slots for anything I might want to add in the future ?
Is this model the best fit for the FX-8350 CPU ? Are there any other MB's which would be compatible ?

Nothing, they are the exact same CPU. Black is just a generic term for Unlocked, which means it is very easy to overclock it. Exact same thing though.

Ok, what about the Turbo ?

The one from newegg is the only one which states it in the spec's.

It means it can physically clock itself up to the Turbo Boost speed of 4.2GHz.....the stock clock is 4.0GHz. All of them do that

    Thank's for your replies.

So you are saying they are all equal, even though the spec's are not the same ?

It is the exact same part.....the specs are the same, it is the description that is different. Exact same part number: FD8350FRHKBOX
