    1. I would highly recommend a SSD for the OS. If you want top shelf, a 120GB Vector would be my choice.

    2. Should you have problems with Vista (e.g. because there is a driver missing), you can always run it under VMware Player in Mint. I prefer Mint Mate which I find nicer than Cinnamon. Here are some tutorials I made.

Since SP1, we never had problems with Vista. The wife still uses 2 Vista laptops without any problems or complaints - and it is not easy to find something that a wife could not complain about, LOL.

The only reason my wife uses 7 now is because I gave her my old system when I built this one. She loves vista...but now she has come to appreciate 7!!

Well I have to inform you Gentlemen I found a loophole on Fry's website bought 2 count them 2 OEM service pack 1 64bit 7disc for $30.00 a piece I saved 76.00 per Disc Thank you Fry's for that wonderful Blunder

Also have to mention I was installing one on my Dad's Machine and his Core Duo Heatsink came off during the finishing installed and damn that chip was hot and shut down couldn't get the heatsink back on so I just gave him my 8120 Oc'ed to 4.2 Ghz with a HD6870 I told my dad just use it for parts now and he is satisfied with 8 cores of Bulldozer

As now he has a new age rig atleast
