    No, it has to be written and unpacked to the USB in such a way to make the USB bootable - thats what Step 2 does.

    alright so far i got all my parts minus the case. i got the CPU and RAM in the mobo today. since im running single stick of ram, do i put that in slot 1 or slot 2 out of the 4?

    yea. only mentioned dual channel. i put it in slot 1....

    You should take the advice given here, seriously.

    It is proven advice by experience.

    Reading the manuals and info.for all the parts prior to assembly will make things easier for you.

    I am..... Lol. But it dosent say in the manual which dimm to put a single stick of ram in. However a picture shows 1 stick closest to the CPU. So I put mine there
