Do not change voltages at first, take it slow like linnemeyerhere said

I would start with a simple multiplier bump, burn that in with a good test and run the system for a couple days watching temps at stock voltages

alright sounds good. now to increase turbo core, i just have to increase trubo core ratio just like the base rite? just i can not increase base and tubo at the same time. rite?

so before i OC the base, i have to disabile turbo core and test. once i set the base clock at 4ghz, and its running smooth, i can then enable turbo core then set that multiplier then test that.

    now my final question:
just increasing the multiplier will make my cpu faster in terms of frequency, but will it actually increase performance in CPU intensive programs?

No I would just go with a base multiplier increase at first and leave turbo boost on auto as I remember as I'm running an i7 currently.

I wouldn't overclock at all with that PSU. I apologize for being so persistent, but I just don't want to see you end up regretting it.

Just to be clear AMD is not like Intel with Speed step I think it is

If you plan on overclocking you need to turn turbo off it will not help you once you have already established a overclock it was designed to make 1 or 2 cores run a little faster under load with power saving features on

Once you overclock you loose those so turbo really doesn't help you unless you are not overclocking it might mess you up because you are making it work extra hard when you already have it set high

They don't seem to be much different, and yes like I said in post 23 do not use both at the same time

why cant there be a turbo speed with base clock? all im doing is increasing multiipliers and voltages. beyond that nothing else.
