more Stability then the actual program they give you also I been playing with the zoom options and have total 1080i

Channels are easy to change I use the side key pad and change channels volume same thing +/_ sign

You can also record shows like DVR if you have the HD space also you can rip shows to Disc that play media center ripped DVD's pretty sweet also my Tuner is Hybrid and it has three separate tuners one for radio Digital and Analog Cable signals i'm using Analog because i'm not using a DVR box
    Straight in line connection

Also gives me more options for recording and streaming which is pretty cool my next step is to stream some of my game play on You tube but that is in the works not sure if I need another adapter for that or a program to get me over will be adding that to the thread when I get a chance

    Just to update this post

I am now using Windows media center and it is Great !

Did some Tweeking to it as well and it runs like a champ
I'm still using an old ATI TV Wonder 650 that I bought in 08. Works great with Win 7 Media Center. I don't do any TV recordings, but the last time I tried, it worked.

What do you guys use for an antenna? Will it work using directTV as the antenna? I'd like to get rid of DirectTV, but live so far in the country, I doubt I could get many channels.

Yes it will work with DirectTV, I have used it with my tv card. On mine I tuned to channel 3 and used the directtv tuner to change channels.

I have a cable connected to mine so I just get basic cable TV which also includes a few HD channels. I don't watch a lot of TV or even movies on my PC so basic cable is good enough for me on PC.

I also have a Terk HDTVa antenna that picks up HD channels but I don’t use it anymore

I guess it depends on area and location. The model I listed, which is indoors, tended to be finicky. When it worked, it worked well, but when it lost signal, it wasn't any better than tin foil.

Placement and location is a big thing with these antennas

That said, they are very nice (when working).

Good point, and he lives out in the country, might be better with an outdoor antenna.
