Official Seven Forums Overclock Leader boards

I should have guessed it was a BIOS issue.
I had to reset during the upgrade to the bad BIOS (v2), and also I should have noticed that there was a huge difference between the BIOS reported voltages and those reported in Windows.
My bad.
Anyway this new BIOS (v2.2) seems to have resolved the issue.
The leaderboard seems not to have been updated....

My bad, shows up with Explorer but not Chromium
He will find your lost ship !!
Try chrome, it works with it. What build of Chromium are you using?

Ha!!
Back in the game.
How is this for a fresh start?
@paulpicks21:
It was a BIOS issue, causing settings to not stick.
Check out the voltage now (set automatically by BIOS), as compared to my previous 3900 post on the old BIOS.
BTW Nick Shih is a World Record holder on the 17 3770K.
@essenbe:
Thank you for that link. It helped immensely.
Whoops, sorry to Nick Shih then lol.
I am glad you have resolved your issues pillian, the voltage looks great now at your new OC
Leaderboards updated.

@paulpicks21:
What say you?
Should I let it pickle fora few days before trying to go a bit higher?
-
pillainp, I'm not Paul, but I say go ahead and try for more. What are your temps in Prime now? My guess is you are going to be limited by temps at around 4.5-4.6, if you run Prime, IBT or AIDA. I'd try for 4.5 and see how it does. You can always bring it back down.

At ambient temps of around 27 Celsius (80.6 Fahrenheit) my temps are at around 57 Celsius average across 4 cores after 15 minutes stress testing on AIDA

It's really up to you pillian, if you are enjoying overclocking then go for it, you should be able to reach around 4.5GHz with around 1.25V maybe a little less it all depends on the chip.
If you don't want to go that high yet then just work your way up.

Good temps, where you are now is no problem. AIDA will take about an hour to reach max temps, but you should be in good shape where you are. Your TJ Max is 105, so you are fine. Everyone has their own limits. I try to keep mine below 90 during stress tests, maybe a little higher on a suicide run.
